Following its success in container depot services in recent years, "K" line - GMD Logistics Company Limited (KGL) continues to expand its operation in the field of logistics and value added services for imported CBU cars.
On the morning of 28 July 2016, at the project site located at Long Hau Industrial Zone, Long An Province, the groundbreaking ceremony of “K”line – Gemadept Logistics Vehicle Processing Center was successfully held with the attendance of top management representatives from “K”line, Gemadept and KGL.
The project has the scale of 20,000 sqm, including warehouse for storing vehicles (14,880 sqm), office building, M&R workshop (1,400 sqm) and other items. The total investment of the project is over VND 111 billion. Shortly after the ceremony, the construction and equipment installation, etc., will be carried out expeditiously to put the project into operation by November 2016 (E).
Being amongst Gemadept’s main strategies of further developing logistics network in Vietnam, this is one of the pioneer projects in providing full-package logistics solutions for imported CBU cars. The project will contribute to promoting and professionalizing Vietnam's logistics services.
Along with the rapid growth of Vietnam’s market for imported automobile in recent years as well as the expectation for further booming market in the coming years in combination with the JVC partners‘ high experience in the field of logistics and the customer base, which will be linked together and expanded thanks to the prosperous cooperation between the parties, the project promises to create a new successful step for "K" line, GMD and KGL, providing PDI (pre-delivery inspection) services with high quality and effectiveness to the market./.
